Eat South Bound is a vibrant, California-style taco and tequila bar located in Charlotte, North Carolina. With a menu that blends bold Mexican flavors and Caribbean flair, it stands out as more than just another taco joint. Sharing a corner of South Blvd with its sister restaurant Mac’s Speed Shop, South Bound is part of the Mac’s Hospitality Group—this project is one of several we’ve completed for their family of Charlotte venues—including Mac’s Speed Shop, Eat South Bound, The Music Yard, and The BackStage Lounge.

As the group grew, so did the need for a digital presence that reflected the energy and creativity of each concept. We were brought in to modernize and manage the South Bound website and provide long-term support across the Mac’s Hospitality portfolio.

What They Needed

The South Bound team came to us with a strong brand and a great following—but an aging website. They needed:

  • A modern, mobile-first design that captured the bold spirit of their brand
  • A faster, more secure platform with fewer plugin issues
  • Menu tools that staff could easily update in-house
  • Better integration with social media, especially Instagram
  • Higher visibility in local searches and listings
  • Ongoing support from a partner who understood both tech and hospitality

They also needed consistency across their group while preserving what made each location unique.

What began as a round of updates quickly grew into a full redesign—and a lasting partnership. We provided:

DatAchieve partnered with Eat South Bound to further develop a website as colorful and layered as its menu. Built on a modern WordPress foundation, the site blends bold imagery, playful motion, and intuitive navigation to capture the laid-back energy of the brand—while keeping things easy for staff behind the scenes.
