Brook Lane is western Maryland’s largest, non-profit mental health system, offering psychiatric and behavioral health services across multiple locations. With a 75-year history of serving individuals of all ages, Brook Lane is a trusted partner for emotional wellness in the Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia tri-state region.

When Brook Lane decided to modernize its online presence, they needed more than a visual update. They needed a platform that reflected their expanded services—now including physical, occupational, and speech therapy—while remaining approachable, secure, and easy for staff to manage.

What They Needed

Brook Lane’s existing Drupal-based website had become outdated, both in form and function. A recent audit revealed potential security vulnerabilities, and staff found the platform difficult to maintain without developer support. Their goals included:
