The Washington County Community Action Council (WCCAC) is the region’s designated anti-poverty agency and an affiliate of the nationwide Community Action Partnership network. Since 1965, WCCAC has helped individuals and families in crisis move toward self-sufficiency through services that address immediate needs and long-term goals—from emergency assistance to homeownership support.

To better communicate its mission and improve access to services, WCCAC partnered with DatAchieve to develop a new website that could serve the diverse needs of their community and staff.

What They Needed

WCCAC’s legacy website did not reflect the breadth of their work or the professionalism of their organization. Key challenges included:
