The American Legion is a well-known and respected organization that provides opportunities for veterans and their families. Founded in 1919, the American Legion is at the forefront of assisting those who have served in our country’s military. Clopper-Michael Post 10, located in Boonsboro, Maryland, is an active post with year-round events and a modern facility including a banquet hall, kitchen, bar, and pavilion.
Launched in 2011, the previous boonsborolegion.org site contained helpful information for visitors, but it was difficult to use, the design had become dated, and it longer effectively represented the active nature of the post and its membership. The website was also difficult to manage and lacked the tools necessary to promote the Legion’s mission to the community.
Client Needs
The Boonsboro American Legion post needed to find a way to attract younger veterans, inform the community about its mission, and promote its facility. The post also wanted to be able to better manage public and private events and coordinate staff and volunteer schedules.
Client Solution
DatAchieve Digital provided the post with a new website that better reflects the organization and can be easily managed by non-technical staff. The updated site serves as a hub for administrative tasks including facility rentals and member services and includes private sections available to logged-in members and staff.
