The Maryland Grape Growers Association a non-profit organization of growers and winemakers that have joined together to promote Maryland’s wine-growing industry.

Through the combined efforts and resources of the Maryland Wineries Association, the University of Maryland, and the Maryland Department of Agriculture, the group strives to illustrate the economic and environmental benefits that grape growing provides.

Client Needs

The original MGGA website had limited functionality is limited and a dated design that no longer reflected the professionalism of the organization or its members. Additionally, the website layout and navigation were not easily accessible to visitors using mobile devices.

The association wanted a website that would connect members, industry professionals, legislators, and consumers more effectively with information about the Maryland grape industry.

Client Solution

DatAchieve provided the Maryland Grape Growers Association with an attractive, easy-to-navigate website that better reflects the organization and its members, serves as an online hub for activities, including a private forum where members can share information about the industry.

The site includes a mobile-responsive layout,  integration of social media sharing and publishing tools, and complete content management.

An Activity Hub for a Volunteer Organzation

  • Content Management– Content that can be easily maintained by non-technical staff
  • Social Publishing – One-click publishing of website updates to email lists and onto social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter
  • Email Marketing Tools– The ability for visitors to subscribe to updates with opt-in and opt-out email subscriptions and publishing of site posts directly to email lists
  • Event Calendar– An event calendar including dates, time, driving directions, and search
  • Alerts– A special alerts box that can be edited and set to appear throughout site
  • Language Translation- Google machine-translation scripts for auto-translation of site content from English to over 90 other languages
  • Multimedia Tools– Image and video galleries that can be easily edited by MGGA staff
  • Forums– Enabling users to discuss topics in a private forum
  • Mobile Responsive Layout– A responsive site design that adapts to tablet, smart-phone and other portable devices
