Project Goals

The Maryland Wineries Association needed a website that would better serve both its members and the traveling public. Key priorities included improving usability, future-proofing the platform, and giving members more control over their content.

  • Develop a mobile-responsive site that performs well on all devices.

  • Transition to an open-source platform to allow for greater flexibility and scalability.

  • Build secure administrative tools with customized access levels for staff, wineries, and wine enthusiasts.

  • Improve the visitor experience by offering interactive, travel-focused features.

Our Approach

DatAchieve Digital delivered a modern, fully responsive website built for long-term growth. The new platform empowers both staff and member wineries to manage content easily and gives travelers better tools to plan and explore Maryland’s wine destinations.

  • Designed a responsive, mobile-first site that performs reliably across devices.

  • Built an interactive wine trail map with filtering, search capabilities, and direct Google Maps integration.

  • Introduced an itinerary builder, allowing visitors to create, save, and navigate custom travel plans.

  • Developed a member dashboard where wineries can update listings, share events, and interact with fellow members.

  • Streamlined administrative roles and permissions, simplifying site management without compromising security.

In the background, a window reveals green foliage and a vase with pink flowers. Two smartphones displaying a wine festival website. The screens show event information and an option to purchase tickets. The phones are on a white surface, angled to display different views of the site.

Education, Advocacy, and Promotion

In addition to the interactive map and wine trails, the Maryland Wineries Association site includes membership resources, forums, and member pages where wineries can share products, events, and information with the public.
